About Not Lars:

Not Lars is an electronic solo act by Lars Netzel, Sweden. This project's very first release "Worry" got instant attention in the chill/ambient scene with it's forest themed video, shot in a nature reserve just outside Gothenburg. Not Lars' music can surely be recognized as synth but is heavily influenced by a sad and atmospheric touch, giving it much more of an emotional impact than your average synth pop track.


Not Lars about his remix:

-- This song was a pain in the ass to begin remixing since the original version is basically perfect! In fact, it directly became my favorite Thermostatic track ever so, to not look like a complete fool I had to take a different approach and create a new sound with a new chorus. I decided to get rid of the most characteristic sound and focus more on the vocals. Stripped down, with changed harmonies and then re-reverbed I finally ended up satisfied with an atmospheric Not Lars interpretation. Actually, Louise's text message "IT'S AWESOME!!" gave me the feeling I did well considering I had to cut up a masterpiece ;).
